Hariet Waffenschmidt

Hariet Waffenschmidt is HMC’s key digital marketing partner.

Originally from Germany, she has been calling New Zealand home for over 18 years now. She has a Bachelor of Arts with Honours majoring in Media and Communications which saw her starting out as an online sports journalist until migrating to New Zealand where she subsequently completed a Diploma in Ecommerce from the University of Waikato.

Hariet is an experienced digital marketer with over 15 years of experience in the digital performance marketing space working with public, private and not-for-profit organisations both nationally and internationally, annually managing a seven-figure media spend.

Her mission is to get her clients results that have a real business impact. There is no hiding behind fluffy vanity metrics such as clicks, reach and impressions – the sole focus is on real outcomes which for most businesses, most of the time, fall into two camps: sales or leads.

Before starting her own consultancy Digital Blueprint in 2019, she worked as in-house digital marketer at the University of Waikato for over a decade where she was instrumental at bringing the digital marketing function in-house.

For fun, Hariet loves all that her chosen hometown Raglan has to offer – trail running, beach walks, surfing and most of all spending time with her young family and naughty Jack Russel Skip.
