CLIENT NEWS: Engaging video and new website launches to support NZ teachers

HMC Communications has been working closely with the CS4S Trust over recent months to help them engage with New Zealand school teachers working in the digital curriculum.

We helped develop key messages for our client - a not-for-profit which stands for 'Computer Science 4 Schools' (CS4S). The trust was in the early stages of setting up an online network for New Zealand teachers - a teachers-only portal where they could share ideas, lesson plans and find out information about the digital curriculum. It was to be a virtual "community garden" - a place where teachers can grow and harvest knowledge.

The HMC team wrote a script, engaged a film crew, sourced location and managed the video shoot. We worked closely with top Hamilton videographers, Nimbus Media, to make two short films - one for the CS4S Teachers' Network website, and another for social media. We also wrote website content - and both can be viewed here:

The next step for this client is building the website and online network, which will be officially launched later this year. HMC Communications is also supporting CS4S Teachers' Network through managing their social media and Facebook page:

It's another fun, creative project which is going to have great benefits for the community - helping support New Zealand teachers and the next generation of kids using digital technology. Something HMC is definitely proud to be part of!
