Suzi joined HMC Communications in June 2018, with over a decade of public relations and communications experience across the sectors of conservation, tertiary education, the community and voluntary sector and the utilities industry.
Suzi grew up in Raetihi, near Mount Ruapehu. She gained a Bachelor of Communications Studies with First Class Honours in Public Relations from the University of Waikato, then landed a public relations and marketing role at the Waikato Management School. Suzi then relocated to Tauranga for a community relations role with Trustpower which saw her travel extensively and build a vast collection of strong working relationships across the country. It’s Papamoa specifically, where Suzi continues to be based as HMC’s Bay of Plenty rep.
Suzi thrives on using creative communication and PR to make a difference for organisations, businesses and stakeholder groups. She loves generating concepts and helping to progress other people’s ideas through collaboration. Particular areas of passion for Suzi include internal communication, community relations, events and social media.
Outside of the office, Suzi is living a second childhood through her two sprightly, cheeky toddlers.
