Ginny Semmens

Ginny has bought a range of communications experience to the team, joining HMC Communications as Account Manager in April 2022.

With a background in local government communications, strategic communications planning skills and experience in alumni engagement within the education sector, Ginny has a passion for working with people to achieve great outcomes.

She has experience in event management and using a variety of communication tools to connect people and maximise engagement.

Ginny has a Bachelor of Media Arts degree, majoring in public relations and advertising and started out as a journalist, working for the community newspaper group.

She is actively involved in the community, having held voluntary positions on the Outward Bound Council of New Zealand, including the role of Chairperson. Ginny is also a member of the Board of Trustees at a Hamilton primary school.

Outside of the office, you’ll find Ginny with her family and friends enjoying New Zealand’s magnificent coastline and countryside.
